The primary focus of this position is to be actively engaged in clinical quality improvement efforts and may involve oversight of some of these efforts, under the direction of the Manager of BMC Quality and Patient Support Services. Works with other identified staff to coordinate and collect specific clinical outcomes information as required by regulatory agencies, and collaboratively develop goals and achieve improved clinical outcomes for the organization. Bachelor's degree in a clinical healthcare related field required (RN and a Masters in a related field is strongly preferred). Five years of clinical experience is required. Demonstrated experience and competency with quality improvement, outcomes monitoring, and/or process development in the healthcare arena required. Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis and interpretation required. Demonstrated critical thinking/analytical skills as well as strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrated knowledge of team building, both as a participant of teams and in a leadership role. Demonstrated excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal), leadership and facilitating abilities; has the ability to influence behaviors at the physician, staff, and administrative levels. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and capabilities, along with the ability to work cross-functionally with other leaders. Within a year of taking position, successfully completes Six Sigma Green Belt training and a Six Sigma project as agreed upon with the Six Sigma Manager. Proficiency with office computer tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio and Word). One to three years of experience working directly with physicians is preferred. Demonstrated success in physician-health care provider collaborative projects.
